The HOOK (Helping Out Our Kids) Program

Serves youth in historically underserved and under-resourced communities by providing access to outdoor education, wellness-focused experiences, and positive mentorship. Designed for youth ages 9–17, the program operates as a structured after-school and community-based initiative that delivers consistent, trauma-informed support promoting confidence, emotional well-being, leadership development, and life skills.

Through hands-on learning and nature-based activities, participants develop practical outdoor skills, emotional resilience, and confidence. Youth engage in archery, angling (fishing), outdoor safety, environmental stewardship, and basic outdoor life skills. Each session is rooted in therapeutic and youth development principles that promote focus, discipline, problem-solving, and personal responsibility.

By blending outdoor education with mentorship and life-skills training, the HOOK Program helps youth discover their strengths, build healthy coping skills, and connect with the natural world—all within a safe, supportive, and empowering environment.
