Outdoor adventures

Program Purpose 

This program connects youth ages 9–17 and their parents/guardians to safe, structured, and culturally welcoming outdoor experiences that build confidence, strengthen family bonds, and develop lifelong skills through guided instruction, mentorship, and hands-on recreation.

Who It Serves

  • Youth ages 9–17

  • Parents/guardians encouraged to participate (family-based learning + safety)

  • Ideal for beginners and first-time outdoor families

Program Components (What’s Included)

1) Guided Fishing Trips

  • Shoreline + boat-based options (as available)

  • Skills taught: casting, knot-tying, bait selection, fish ID, conservation, handling

  • Family-friendly “first fish” milestones and photo moments

2) Private Archery + Angling Lessons

  • 1:1 or small group instruction

  • Archery: stance, safety, aiming, shot process, target practice

  • Angling: casting mechanics, tackle basics, retrieval techniques, ethics

3) Guided Hunting Trips (Mentored + Safety-First)

Species Focus:

  • Deer

  • Turkey

  • Rabbit

  • Squirrel

What’s covered:

  • Hunter education reinforcement, ethics, and conservation

  • Scouting basics, tracking/sign, habitat, and shot placement fundamentals (age-appropriate)

  • Field care overview and “field-to-table” learning option (where appropriate/allowed)

  • All hunting activities follow all applicable laws, seasons, licensing requirements, and landowner permissions. Youth participate with required adult supervision and safety protocols.

4) Kayaking Adventures

  • Beginner-friendly paddling instruction

  • Water safety, navigation basics, wildlife viewing, stewardship

  • Options for calm water routes for families

5) Camping Experiences

  • Day-camp style (based on site + permissions)

  • Camp setup, fire safety, cooking basics, map/compass intro, Leave No Trace

  • Confidence-building outdoor skills for youth + caregivers

6) Special Event Services (Mobile / Hosted)

Perfect for:

  • Birthday parties

  • Family reunions

  • Company outings

  • Organizations & church events

Activities can include:

  • Pop-up archery range + instruction

  • Fishing clinic stations

  • Outdoor games + conservation lessons

  • Family challenge activities (team-based)
